Frequently Asked Question #1:

How do I sign up for the program and receive G.I. Bill® funding?

In order to get started with our program all you have to do is apply for your benefits. The steps to that are:

  1. Go to http://www.vets.gov.
  2. Select "Apply for Education Benefits"
  3. Select "Apply with Form 22-1990"
  4. Select "Start Form 22-1990"
  5. Then come into the dive center or contact us to set the dates for the course and get started.

Frequently Asked Question #2:

What do I need to bring for my first class?

In addition to the classroom materials and scuba gear that is provided to them by the program, they will need to PURCHASE the following items:

  • Mask
  • Fins
  • Snorkel
  • Diving Booties
  • Wet Suit

The rental gear will be provided for the Rescue Diver Course. For the rest of the courses you will need to provide the rest of your gear or you can rent it. This gear may include, but is not necessarily limited to, a BCD, a regulator, and weights.

Frequently Asked Question #3:

Are there any additional costs that the G.I. Bill® does not cover?

Yes:

  • Other costs include dive site entry fees, books and materials, and cylinder rentals. Please refer to each individual course requirements in the cataloge for specifics.
